Install (about 60 seconds)
- Remove the battery or unplug.
- Press the tabs and remove the spool cap.
- Lift out the old spool; keep the spring oriented the same way.
- Clear grass from the housing and eyelets.
- Feed fresh line through the eyelet, seat the new spool, snap the cap until it clicks.
- Test feed outdoors with a short trigger pulse.

Why factory-wound
Pre-wound spools usually feed more reliably than hand-rewound empties. If you rewind bulk 0.065" line later, wind in the arrow direction, in even layers, and do not overfill — reverse winding and overfill are common causes of auto-feed failure.
